Practical
information The Natural Park of Sierra de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas, is the vastest
natural park of Spain. It has a surface
of 209.920 hectare. It is located in the North East of the province Jaen,
and connects the eastern part of the Sierra Morena with the mountain region
called Subbetico. This Park is the origin of two important rivers from the Iberian Peninsula,
the Guadalquivir, which flows out in the Atlantic and the Segura, which flows
out in the Mediterranean. Moreover there are many reservoir and lagoons.
These Mountains contain a wealth of flora and fauna. On the large surface are located in total 23 districts with in total 87.744
residents. They are all
typical villages in a magnificent neighbourhood. General
